Taste Test: The Best Fast-Food Breakfast Sandwiches
That youtube video is from a mcdonalds in Australia. I'm not sure if they use fresh eggs in the US or not. I know McDonalds in South America is quite the classy establishment so I wouldn't compare them too much across borders.
The Nasty Bits: Beef Heart, 4 Ways
I'm really surprised you didn't mention anticuchos. They are basically beef-heart-kabobs and are immensely popular in Peru. Argentina is a huge producer of beef in South America and they ship almost all of their beef hearts to Peru where it is one of the country's most popular dishes. I unintentionally tried one of these on my first day of living in Peru a few years ago. I honestly thought it was just a steak-kabob until my friend let me in on the whole "it's a heart" secret. Regardless, it was delicious!
DVD Giveaway: Food, Inc.
Three and a half months ago I became a vegetarian. After graduating college I had more time to research things that interested me. When I saw all of the evidence of the horrible treatment of animals in our country, I was deeply disturbed. This, coupled with the environmental impact of eating meat, led me to question whether I could still eat them. I began to find that when I truly thought about how the animals I ate where once living, thinking beings, they were no longer appetizing.
All of this being said, I do miss the taste of a good burger or pepperoni pizza. It's so hard sometimes!!
