Just purchased a box of Cap'n Crunch with Crunch Berries (because they were on sale at the market!). They will sit right up there with my Cheerios and Raisin Bran Crunch.
My teeth and my waist won't be too pleased but oooh I love them so!

My dad used to make Fried Pork Chops with BBQ Sauce. (he would add the sauce while they were still frying. they were greasy and sticky with sauce and they were the best!
Today I'm making pork chops (on the grill) for dad and my husband.

is it odd that i like the cookie and not the creme stuffing
too bad the peanut butter filled were disappointing.

I use crisco to fry chicken, make pie crusts and a teaspoon or 2 when fying fish.
my grandmothers used crisco daily and both lived into their 90's with no diabetes, heart disease or cholestrol issues.
use it in moderation like everything else.

the food looks delicious, but if their idea of expanding East is Texas then I guess I'll never have the pleasure of trying one of these My trips to California don't include In and Out Burger

As a child I ate my grits with butter and sugar and my Granny who cooked them was from the south.
Today it's with butter, salt & pepper, maybe some crisp bacon mixed in.
Shrimp & grits is always a hit!

havent had it in years but fondly recall thin slices of fried spam on white bread with a dab of mayo.

I would say that a reservation to insure that your seats are available when you arrive isn't the same as expecting acceptable service.
The waiter seemed knowledgable regarding the easiest things to order but what about the rest of his job. Just because your seats were at the opposite end of the restaurant doesn't excuse his poor service. Did anyone in your party inform the waiter (or manager) of your extended wait or request to be served asap?
I think this visit requires some kind of comment card to the manager.
