Serious Beer: Summer Seasonals

Summer beer article, and no mention of Magic Hat?! Hocus Pocus, Circus Boy, No. 9...that's what summer tastes like in my house.

What's the Weirdest Sandwich You Make?

Chopped cucumbers, chopped tomatoes, chopped roasted cashews, and red wine vinaigrette, in a whole wheat pita. It's been my favorite sandwich for YEARS, a habit that began at the Keweenaw Co-Op in the early 90s, when their deli featured it as the "Renee."

Good "bad" Chinese delivery, Old Town/Lincoln Park

I come before you a broken woman in search of decent Cashew Chicken. My standards are not high - I'm looking for chicken, cashews, brown sauce, maybe broccoli, celery, water chestnuts...hopefully not zucchini or a white sauce. I've been living on the East Coast and am new to Chicago, but man, I don't know if my expectations are too high, or if Chicago's Chinese food is different from any other part of the US, or if I haven't found the right restaurant. Have tried Lee's Chop Suey, Dee's Mandarin, and Yummy Yummy. All were varying degrees of acceptable, but nothing quite hit the spot. Suggestions? Advice? Am I out of luck?
