Cash, credit, check, or other: How do you pay for food?

Generally, I pay for food (whether it be groceries or eating out) with cash. I find that I don't overspend nearly as much when I have actual cash in my hand that I must give away.

Frozen meals: yay or nay?

I buy them frequently because of my busy schedule. They make it so much easier to eat and run.

Anything chocolate is always good.

Soft, chewy chocolate chip cookies work for me.

With a little vanilla ice cream for good measure.

chai tea?

Here's a recipe I've used with great success. It's delicious!

Ingredients:
-1 tsp. ground cardamom
-1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
-1/2 tsp. ground cloves
-1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg or grated nutmeg
-1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk (sweetened or unsweetened)
-strong black tea or herbal tea (regular or decaf)

Directions:
1. Pour condensed milk and spices into the blender and blend on high speed for a few seconds until the milk looks evenly "flecked" with spices.
2. Pour mixture into a clean jar or container with a lid.
3. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
4. Alternatively, pour mix into ice cube trays and freeze.
5. To use concentrate: Brew a strong black tea or strong herbal tea of your choice.
6. Stir in 1 frozen concentrate cube or 1/2 to 2 teaspoons of chai concentrate mix per cup of freshly steeped tea.
7. Frozen cubes will keep up to one year in the freezer if you pop them out of the trays and store in freezer bags.
8. Concentrate will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

Why do college students love pizza?

Why do college students love pizza?

When I was in college, I know I ordered pizza quite frequently due to the fact that it could be delivered. I didn't have to drive to get it, which is always a plus. Also, it is relatively inexpensive, which is important to every college student. And it's still great cold.

weird reasons for not trying certain foods?

I'll try almost anything at least once, however I base my decisions on food on texture as well as taste. Even if I like a certain food, I will not eat it if the texture is not appealing to me. Zucchini, for example, does not necessarily have a bad taste, but it feels slimy in my mouth.

Grown Up Treats

As much as I try to stay on a strict diet, every so often I indulge in something that is definitely not on my diet, like chocolate. My "grown-up treats" are typically sweets that I know I shouldn't be eating.

Frozen Fries vs "Fresh Cut"

I typically use frozen fries, simply because they are quicker & easier to fix. But when I get the chance to make fresh cut fries, those are definitely my 1st choice.

Your cooking 'personality type'

I think I am a healthy methodical cooker. I love to cook delicious, healthy foods for my family, but I prefer to follow a recipe when doing so. I always assume that following someone else's recipe decreases the chance of it turning out horribly. (Which tends to happen if I try to be creative with my cooking!)
