Cook the Book: 'Real Cajun'

My parents are both from Louisiana - so this would be great! Here are a few

cheeto and koolaid tea parties
my Mom's fried chicken
a big huge crawfish boil with all the trimmings
my Aunt Ginnie's pound cake
my Dad's bar-b-q chicken or leg of lamb
a family reunion where the food was out of this world!

Another dutch oven question

Le Crueset is certainly the Rolls Royce and gold standard of dutch ovens, but I have a 6 quart round Lodge in a really pretty blue color, for a better price and I love it. and yes, these things are exceedingly heavy. very happy with mine and like another commenter, encourage you to think along the lines of mass preparation and freezing.

Then you always have something lovely to take out of the freezer when you don't feel like cooking. I hate eating the same thing for 3 days.

Giant Cheetos vs. Regular Cheetos

funny you would mention you have Cheetos hangover. I have always found that Cheetos (particularly the small crunchy kind) are a kind of miracle hangover cure. orange fingers don't last forever and luckily, hangovers don't either...Cheetos rule!

What to Do with Sunchoke?

I agree with Pooch - they are good thinly sliced, grated or matchsticked into a salad
