@DoggiesLove2Eat - The place in Bridgeport is called "Franzone's". I've lived within spitting distance (literally) my whole life. The thing about Franzone's pizza is that you either LOVE it or you HATE it - there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. It has a very sweet sauce and - Yes - they do the swirl.

BTW - Alex's pizza stinks. One of their pizza makers used to come into the bar I used to work at after he got done work and would being pizzas with him for us to give away. I'd rather eat the box than eat Alex's pizza.

I was at someone's house for Thanksgiving one year when the phone rang and it was a call for one of the other guests. There had been a fire at his sister's house, caused by the deep frying of the turkey. The house burned to the ground and was a total loss. There will no turkey frying at my house! I would, however, be willing to taste a turkey that SOMEONE ELSE has fried.

When I was a kid there was a house in the neighborhood that gave out homemade candy apples - but they only had about 2 dozen of them. We used to come home from school, get in our costumes, go to The McHarg's house, get our candy apples, go home, do homework, eat supper and THEN go out and do the rest of our trick-or-treating. We just HAD to have those candy apples - they were the highlight of our Halloween treats. On the other hand - another family gave out popcorn balls. The only reason we went to their house is because we knew them really well and HAD to go to their house. When we got home we would throw the popcorn balls away. We HATED those things.

I've always been a sucker for a bad boy so you KNOW Anthony Bourdain is at the top of my list! Running neck and neck though - is Jamie Deen. Not only is he hot but he completely stole my heart when he and Bobby showed up for Paula's bridal shower wearing bridesmaids dresses. Boys who dote on their mother - how can you beat that?

If there's no lettuce and tomato, what makes it a sub? Without L&T, it's just a meatball sandwich.
