Also, for affordable/good food, less atmosphere (think stepped up diner) Green Kitchen 77th +1st Avenue is offering a traditional Thanksgiving Day menu with appetizer + traditional turkey entree + dessert for $19.95!

Green Kitchen has been around for a loooong time - has NYC history.

New York restaurant for special occasion!

Kings' Carriage House East 82nd Street. Delicious and beautiful. They do not have the traditional ala carte menu for dinner rather it is like dining at someone's English countryside manor in one of those movies like Pride and Prejudice. The menu is fixed with 3-4 different choices for each course (app, entree, dessert) apx $50 pp without alcohol so keeping it under $100 pp shouldn't be hard.

Just thinking about the filet mignon, pistachio encrusted lamb chops, chocolate souffle, scottish smoked salmon, glasses of port, brings back wonderful memories of great meals there.

Elizabeth King, the proprietor, renovated and decorated this charming carriage house, and she and her charming Irish husband do all the running of this wonderful restaurant.

Warning though, seating is somewhat limited so if you have a party of 10-12, you probably need to check it out sooner than later.
