If you're okay with lunch, then Little Owl would be my first pick for upscale. Same distributor as Shake Shack (and Blue Smoke, and Minetta).
My only issue with Spotted Pig is the blue cheese is a bit overpowering (I think of it as a "blue cheese burger," not a burger). It's absolutely a must for any serious burgerer, but if I were visiting, I would go with Little Owl. I feel the same way about Minetta and their carmelized onions, which can be an overpowering flavor to the terrific meat blend. I think Blue Smoke does a nice job in this capacity, but Little Owl's bun, cheese, bacon and patty size really put it over the top.
