@HeartofGlass - I LOOOOOOVE YOUR "CHECKED OUT" IDEA!!! I love throwing a handful of Chex Mix into my plain vanilla but have never tried it with butter pecan...now, I must! Excellent name, too! I wonder if others realize the sheer amazing deliciousness of Chex Mix in ice cream?

@hungrychristel - I'm with you! Except, no turbinado. Use 2 CUPS LIGHT BROWN sugar. 3 (maybe EVEN 4) tbsp melted butter. 1.5-2 cups of light corn syrup.
@Charm City Cupcake - Just give that recipe a try. You could also try adding in some pure maple syrup to that mix.
Though, to be honest, I prefer compote on my pancakes/waffles. No syrup.
