I have a deadly allergy to wheat, barley, oats and rye. If I let one little taste pass my lips I can be dead within a matter of minutes. This is not a "trend" or "fad" as you suggest. This is a way of living. I have to be very cautious and I'm so thankful company's such as Bob's or Pamela's or Gluten Free Pantry are out there.
Before posting such idiotic blather you should do some research and realize you are one lucky ducky you don't have to live like so many of us do.
