McCain Frozen Foods Co. Launches Ad Campaign with Presidential Candidate
Couple things wrong with this article and the resulting comments. While McCain Foods USA is a subsidiary of McCain Foods Limited in Canada, McCain Foods Limited is in no way associated or responsible for this campaign. That wasn't very clearly spelled out in the first sentence. (looks like someone needs a brush-up Reporting 101 course) That correlation lead to comments about McCain Foods and listeria deaths. It is Maple Leaf Foods that is having the issue. Yes, the other side of the McCain family is the controlling interest in that business, and some of the principles of Maple Leaf sit on the McCain board, but they are completely separate companies. This correlation is not warranted or deserved.
