Proper Sweet Tea in New York
As a new yorker who went to school down south in Tuscaloosa, I sympathize with not finding good sweet tea. So far I think Dinosaur BBQ is my favorite, and Daisy Mays is pretty good too.

The delboy or hellboy at Paulie Gee's, but that is neapolitan pie only. Fascati in BK heights makes classic ny slice (A/C to high st), and Totonnos in Coney Island (Q/D to Stillwell Ave) and DiFara on Ave J (Q to Ave J) are probably the best in NY. Totonnos is pie only and dont ask for a menu bc there is none, Difara is both but slice is $5 pie $26 and expect hour wait minimum.
For Manhattan, Joe's on Carmine (A/C/F/D to West 4th) many consider best ny slice, Artichoke on MacDougal, same subway stop for square slice, Arturo's on Houston for coal fired pies (C to Spring St) and Patsy's is a haul to 1st ave/118th (6 to 116th st) for coal fired pies or slices.
