What is the best mail order fruit cake?
I'm uneducated when it comes to fruitcake - not a family tradition. So many jokes about them but I'd like to try a mail order fruitcake this year. Traditional or non-traditional but maybe without raisins and pineapple. Any suggestion for mail order? Also, do you have a favorite recipe?
I just tried a green guava given to me by a co-worker who was sharing from her backyard tree.
This fruit had the most powerful stink. Smelled like body odor.
I had never tried a guava except as a juice so I wanted to give it a go. The odor was beyond off-putting.
The guava was placed inside two plastic baggies just to keep the smell out of the kitchen until I was ready to try it. I took it outside to eat. Took two bites and threw the rest of it away. Too weird for me.
