When I first moved to Albany NY from Connecticut, I was flabbergasted to observe people dipping their pizza in blue cheese dressing, as if it were normal. I believe the practice originated as a side-effect of the ubiquitous pizza & wings combo. After living here for more than a decade, I can report to you that while I still don't approve, I now understand: the pizza up here is that bad.

Au contraire, pizzalove, the wait time is not irrelevant, it is a cost, borne by the customer. I can think of a million better things to do with 90 minutes of free time in Manhattan than wait in line for a hamburger; give me the same 90 in New Haven, and I'll gladly wait for an apizza.
