How about when comming back from crystal hitting up frugals? Their double CB with bacon and other add ons can be better than 5 guys. Good shakes, but their fries suck.
The Food Lab: All-American Eggplant Parmesan
Very simmilar to mine but I skip the breading and frying and just grill egplant on the grill after a nice saltwater soak. It gets rid of a ton of fat, adds some nice char and the kids still eat it up.
Dinner Tonight: Pasta with Pesto, Potatoes and Green Beans
Potatoes with pesto pasta is actualy very authentic. When I was living in Genoa years ago. A friend of mine said "You need to try real Genovese pesto, all others are just copies." He took me to his grandmothers house and we had the best pesto ever, and it had potatoes in addition to the pasta and pesto. Her method was simple but briliant. When you heat your water for the pasta, use cold salted water, add the potatoes to the cold water, and add the pasta once the water is boiling. The only gotcha is that you need to monitor the water so that once boiling, the pasta is added. Oh yeah, pesto must be home made, anything else is just sad.
