You either love it or you hate it...
Ewww... sushi. I hate anything that fishy. I tried sushi once. I litterally almost vomited! Someone mentioned pretending to like it. I couldn't even do that.
I dont like peppers of any kind or color. I wish I did. The different colors look so pretty!
I never liked peas or brussel sprouts.
I hate fresh fish but I love shell fish. Yum, shrimp, lobster, and clams! Yuck any kind of fish that doesn't come breaded in a box. Though I do like blackened swordfish. Hmm, go figure.
I like both Manhattan and New England clam chowder. But I prefer New England.
Caviar is pretty gross and way too salty.
And I despise black licorice and coconut. Coconut flavoring is okay, but actual coconut... well, I don't like the texture.
Oh and here is one I didn't see. Nuts. I only like (love) cashews and honey roasted peanuts. Again it is another texture thing for me. I dont like apple peels or cucumber peels for that reason as well. :-)
I have noticed that as I get older I do change my mind about things. I now like chopped chicken livers. And I have grown to love relish on my hot dogs.
Bid Daddy's House
I liked the show. I think his Steak AuPoirve looked delicious. I must have missed the Dorito thing. I personally think Doritos smell like feet... but thats me. I do like the idea of including the kids in the kitchen. I think that is a great dynamic for FN to put into a show. I also think Aaron brings a lot of enthusiasm and personality to his show.
I dont much care for the Neely's either. They seem kind of snobby. I started to feel that way about them after they were judges on NFNS. And I used to love Guy Fieris Guys Big Bite but lately everything he makes is just way too spicy. Freakin peppers in everything! It gets old. And I still love Racheal Ray and Paula Deen... I find their recipes very approachable.
But you go Big Daddy Mac! So far I haven't missed a Sunday at Big Daddy's House. I think FN has another hit with this one.

I make a salad with them that is pretty common. I am so grateful to those here that posted on how to get all the water out of them though. So with that in mind, apply previous water draining suggestion to my recipe.
I peel the whole cuke, doesn't matter what kind. I have used them all. Slice the cucumber in half length wise then into thin slices, dice one large tomato, and dice one half of a large red onion. Add salt and pepper to taste (it is also just as good without the salt if you are on a low sodium diet) Mix in about 3 to 4 tablespoons of ranch dressing. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least an hour.
My family loves when I make this. I make it every summer. I also bring it to picnics/summer parties and my friends devour it. You can be creative with the salad dressing too. Italian or cesear also works well. I dont recommend russian, thousand island or honey dijon though. If you want you can also add shredded cheddar cheese or feta. This is the kind of recipe that you can add your own personal creative touch to and make it your own.
