A Slice of Heaven: Washington, D.C.
As a former DC resident, and a current NYC resident, I can confirm that 2 Amys is some of the best that I have ever had. Yum.

The sausage at Pizzeria Paradiso IS house-made. The comment about frying it up every morning is separate.
You should consider trying out the pies at Piola in Rosslyn, right outside the city. They offer over 50 varieties with some very atypical toppings. Crust comes in two versions; thin Roman style, or slightly thicker Neapolitan style. They also offer a few "Pizze Bianche" which come without any sauce.
This is honestly the best pie I have had here in the area. It should definitely be tried and noted on your awesome site!!!
I cannot for the life of me belive that VACE (Vach-E) Deli on Conn Ave right over the Rock Creek Park Bridge is not noted. Simply put, since Viareggio's shuttered, the MOST kicakass pie in the District. Forget the toasted basil and mango-lime chutney pies of all the foo-foo places - this place whoops more ass in 1 day than the rest do in a MONTH! And their white pie is like dough, olive oil, slivered onion "hoops", and maybe some salt or who knows - WHO CARES! I dare you to get one to go and drive back to Catholic University in your car with the windows rolled up. Your mind will have you chew your fingers off it smells so good...so strident is the aroma! These cats have it right! MAN! It KILLS!

Red Rocks Pizza recently opened in Columbia Heights (redrocksdc.com), and I had a pie there yesterday that rivals 2Amys (which is far and away the best I've had in DC). The pie was a little sloppy/soupy for the uber-thin crust, but aside from that it was brilliant. Good mozz di bufala, good house-made sausage, great crust (with sea salt), good times all around. I have no affiliation with the place, I've just come to expect sub-par pizza in DC and was honestly surprised. Hope they keep it up and/or tweak to perfection.
