The one from City Bakery is one of my favorite's. What about Payard ? Tasteful, dark, but maybe too creamy and heavy. Next time, i'll taste the one from Tarallucci & Vino...

Went there last summer and enjoyed black truffle pasta. Not the best in town but I agree, outdoor seating is nice !

If you're looking for italian gelato, a new grom (from Torino Italy) opened a few days ago in Time Warner
You can walk on 7av just a few blocks from colombus circle and have a very nice meal at Insieme (1 michelin star) 7av /51st

New-Yorkers are lucky : there are a lot of chocolate bars in the town. In France we have traditionnal bakeries but "chocolate bars" are just begining to open.
