Jury Duty in Manhattan
Could anyone provide some interesting/good lunch options for a stint on jury duty in lower Manhattan? I figure there are some good places down in the area and I might as well take advantage. Thanks!!!

I am seeking some unique gift ideas for someone very into food/cooking/eating/etc. I was hoping for some ideas in the mid-to-high end range, that go beyond the normal gadgets that come to mind. Maybe some kind of food or foodie experience. Thanks.
That bun looks a bit big to me. Then to throw it on that huge hunk of meat too. Not sure it is up my alley.
I don't know if Graeters is considered "commercial", but they use real strawberries (hand selected premium Oregon Totum Strawberries, they say) and it is pretty darn good.
Oooo. I love Colony in Stamford. That is the only thing I miss about the area though.
Thanks Ed. This is a great segment. I look forward to your reviews!!
No specific cuisine in mind. I appreciate all the ideas. Last time I spent most of the breaks in Chinatown, but I wasn't too aware of the better places at the time.
Excuse me, but I think I was using the FoodBoy name first. They have a lot of nerve.
I haven't done it in a couple of years, as I have not held a superbowl party, but I used to order Buffalo Wings from the Anchor Bar (the originator in Buffalo, NY). They always made the trip in good shape and were a hit.
Thanks growler. I will have to give Glaser's a try.
William Greenbergs are the best I have had, but I am more than willing to work at confirming that finding. I remember people talking about a place on First Avenue (around 87th/88th Streets) having a very good Black & White. I don't recall the name at the moment.
*sigh*....unfortunately I don't live anywhere NEAR this place, but the burger looks glorious...I'll probably get rocks thrown at me for even suggesting this...but I would ditch the top bun, sort of 'disassemble' and eat with knife and fork...thus getting the appropriate amount of 'parts' with each bite....
I forgot all about Apple Jacks! loved em as a kid, but my fave was and is Grape Nuts. hot or cold its rocks ;)
Looks terrible. Is all that lettuce meant to suggest "plentiful bounty?" That slick of cheese looks like it was ladled on. Adam, you're soo right that something - anything - should have been done with the napkin settings to reference the restaurant's name - how do you put down just one napkin here, like every other place?
At least they've gotten rid of Nice Matin's once-topping for this, bitter and toothsome grilled radicchio. Uh, no.
Dude--check out the stash--a royal racing coach, a coloring book, and a nursery rhyme game can all be yours if you just get to the bottom of the boxes fast enough!
i highly recommend picking up a copy of Krazy Kid's Food by Dan Goodsell. it's one of those journal sized Taschen titles and filled with one fantastic image after another.
King Vitaman was great- somehow the name didn't sound like a sugar-bomb cereal so it was on the 'approved' list!
YIKES! King Vitaman looks like the scary Uncle you keep your kids away from.
I used to imagine that King Vitaman and Mother Nature from the Imperial Margarine commercials were involved in a passionate, tempestuous affair.
Oh sweet, sweet Quisp. How I loved thee. Several years back I'd order it online six boxes at a tiem and have it shipped...I wonder if I can still do that.
Kaboom was ALWAYS a fave, as was The King.
You can't beat breakfast with the king.
