you are all forgetting one of the best (and now very trendy) chicken salads; Bacon-Ranch chicken salad, (we use Nueske's bacon), also some celery, onion, and a 2:1 ranch:mayo blend....we sell lots of this in my deli both in sandwiches and by the pound

Does Cold Water Boil Faster Than Hot?

I had this discussion with my 5th grade math teacher way back when....if you put hot water and cold water in a freezer, doesn't the hot water at some point reach the same temp as the cold water when you started? it an;t get a running start to get cold

The Best Homemade Burger, Paupered Chef–Style

I asked this question on this site about a year ago: "What is the best meat mixture for the ultimate burger"..glad to see I'm not the only one interested.

I did my own experiments with my Kitchen Aid grinder, and found that 25% sirloin, 25% chuck and 50% brisket is the best mix. We tried different ratios, adding more fat, adding pork fat, but the best was the 25-25-50 mix. Try that and let me know if you don;t agree.
