Wife's b'day Celebration w/Seafood: Pearl or Sea Grill?

I would take your wife to Sea Grill. Though we are foodies here, I think whether or not the food is better at Sea or Pearl Grill will largely be trumped by the fact that Sea Grill was the setting for your first date! The sentiment is so sweet- I'm very excited for your wife. Let us know how it goes!

Best Banh Mi in NYC

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Seems like SVS and Nicky's are the two that everyone's telling me to try.

Let me know if you think of any other places.

Places to eat in New York with children

Hi JSChaake, try Cafe Lalo on the Upper West Side for brunch; it's where "You've Got Mail" was filmed. Also, try "Alice's Tea Cup: Chapter III" in the Upper East Side; it's themed after Alice in Wonderland and is thereby decorated like-so. They give little girls butterfly wings when your family walks in the door; and promptly seat you for brunch, tea, or scones-- all the foods that Alice had when she first arrived in Wonderland. It's a delight-- let me know if you enjoy it!

Produce in the fridge - bagged or loose?

Thank you so much for that tip, Chiffonade. Like Alosha, I was also pushing the air out of my plastic bags containing vegetables before storing them in the fridge. Never thought about why that didn't make sense. I'll try your advice next time!

Best Banh Mi in NYC

I've been really craving Banh Mi lately, and have been wondering if you guys had a suggestion for the best Banh Mi in NYC.

NOSH NOSH says that the best Banh Mi can be found at restaurants Ba Xuyen, Baoguette, or An Choi. Do you think these recommendations are spot-on or are there other restaurants I should check out?

Thank you for the advice in advance!

Foodie communities

I've been eating out in NYC for as long as I can remember, wishing I could share my love of food with others. At last, I've begun seeking fun foodie communities to join and have had a blast so far. SeriousEats is absolutely wonderful. I also adore TheNoshNosh.com

Is there any other website I should check out?
