At Porchetta, the Namesake Dish Is Just About the Whole Deal

Not exactly the same, but I find I like the pernil(roast pork) platter at Boca Chica much better and a better value.

Sweet Ticket Giveaway, Week 2: What's Your Favorite Childhood Dessert Memory?

Every New Years eve, my aunt would make a tower of croquembouche, basically profiteroles filled with custard and topped with a shell of caramel.

The other great memory I have, growing up in NYC, when my mom had a craving for meringues, we would pile into the car in our pj's and go to Cafe Geiger on 86 street, my father would run in and come out with a box of meringues filled with schlag, which we would eat in the car.

Bring Back the Ricotta Fritters at Il Buco

I was seriously disappointed, I had one bite of the pig, 1/4 of a sausage and my sandwich was all fat. No polenta either. One cold fritter and some wilted arugula salad. I arrived at 12:20 and waited 30 minutes online.

I have not tried the Boylan diet cola (love their Birch Beers)
That said; cola is SUPPOSED to taste mediciny. (think Compari) Cola originally WAS medicine. Most colas are the furthest thing from what a cola is actually supposed to be. Want a real cola? find a bottle of Fentimans "Curiosity Cola". Mmmm!

Tiramisu. I got some "to go" last night and had it for breakfast. Do I feel guilty? Yes. Will I do it again, first chance I get? Yes.

SPICY TUNA ROLL - I swear I am addicted. I have to have a spicy tuny roll from one particular sushi spo every dayt. I crave it almost as soon as I get up ever day. Sick, huh!

My guilty pleasure is that I can't pass up a piece of cheescake. Any kind! Plain, fancy - as long as it is cheescake...new york style, any style - love it. Thanks for this opportunity!

I am a sweet freak with very little guilt, though every now and again I get sad for no reason. The other day I ate a spoon of Duncan Hines fudge frosting right out of the container. It was all delicious and trans fatty. Does that count?

Sour-Patch Kids, Skittles, and other candies sold at movie theaters in large quantities, primarily to fourth-graders. I avoid making eye-contact as I make the purchase and then run off to the theater.

p.s. my girlfriend is dying for these tickets... please give them to me... please

This is kind of embarassing, but we're supposed to be honest here right? Just to be clear, these are *guilty* pleasures...

1. Butterscotch Krimpets (eat them quickly so no one notices and then lick off any icing stuck to the plastic)
2. Real whipped cream straight...a little dash of vanilla, high peaks, and then into my mouth!
3. Swedish fish (wow...I don't think I've ever told anyone how I feel about swedish fish)

Desserts I would not mind being caught with and would like in front of me this instant:
Sprungli
warm chocolate chip cookies
hot fresh Krispy Kreme glazed donuts
mint chocolate chip ice cream

Unofficially and unanimously is strawberry ice cream, whether breyers/edys/turkey hills (the good kind). I'm supposed to take just one spoon; however, temptation gets the best of me as I often cheat by scooping more than one spoon.
