This Week at Serious Eats World Headquarters
@veggiegirl: Recipe in the works! Stay tuned..
Serious Entertaining: Hello, Morocco
Since I can't get to Morocco at the moment, I will make this entire menu.
First Look: Fort Reno, a New Barbecue Spot in Park Slope
@EazyB: That surprises me. I've only had good experiences at Palo Santo and find their prix-fixe menu to be a solid value: three courses for $25, available every night. Sorry to hear about your tenderloin snafu. Some highlights for me have been their homemade tortillas, any of the fish dishes, and avocado creme brulee for dessert.
All of the Cocktails at Parm, NYC
I'll be back for that beet negroni. It's like one of my favorite root veggies and favorite cocktails got married in that glass.
Happy National Pie Day! Our 10 Favorite Savory Pie Recipes
Yes, according to the pie day gods, we have two official days to celebrate! January 23 is National Pie Day as sanctioned by the Pie Council (yes, such a council exists). They picked 1/23 because "celebrating is as easy as 1-2-3." Then you have Pi Day on March 14 in honor of 3.14159.... which becomes another de facto reason to eat more pie. The bottom line here, more pie. Both days should be honored.

International Serious Eats Day: February 25, 2012
@Teachertalk: If I can find a purse big enough, I'll try to sneak in Mr. Hambone.
@piwakawaka: Ha, you have a point. There was some interest expressed in London and Dublin, and last year some folks in Dubai met up. We know there are SE'rs all over the world - they need to find each other and get this on the calendar!
@atmast: Just added Boston! Thanks for creating the meetup event!
Nightly Specials at Parm: Check Out All 7 Plates
@gargupie / Kenji: that beet negroni can't be beet (sorry). stay tuned for a roundup of all the Parm cocktails on SE:Drinks Friday!
Nightly Specials at Parm: Check Out All 7 Plates
@gargupie: Tough call, and I actually haven't had a few of them (Jessica was on tasting duty Mon, Sat, Sun) but Italian Thanksgiving was great and as a toast-brothing pleasure seeker, I enjoyed Friday's Zuppa di Pesce. Eggplant Guy should be ordered on any / every night.
Nightly Specials at Parm: Check Out All 7 Plates
@silverlake: We were there each night between 5:30ish and after 6 and there were no lines at all. I'm sure it fills up but if you can get there on the early side, you shouldn't have to wait long if at all. Lunch lines, however, now those can be fierce.
International Serious Eats Day: February 25, 2012
@Teachertalk: thanks for clarifying! Hope to see you at Radegast again this year! You making the big trip, or the less big trip to DC?
Check Out Our Game Day Page!
@anysuchname: lucky for you we do have a recipe for Crack Dip, aka Buffalo Wings in Dip Form, and it totally should be on the Munchies page. Now added!
International Serious Eats Day--vote for the 18th or the 25th!
The votes are in.. February 25th wins!
Stay tuned for an official announcement and links to Meetups in various cities on Monday.

@Marshmallow: We SHOULD. Added!
A Sandwich a Day: Daily Meat Sandwich from Little Vine, San Francisco
@Quicksand: Woops, this sandwich was originally eaten back in the fall. Updated the post! RIP Spot.
International Serious Eats Day: February 18 or 25?
@everyone: Thanks for chiming in with votes! Looks like the winner is February 25th with 19 votes (the 18th, 12 votes). Of course you're free to meet whenever with fellow SE'rs! But we'll start planning the February 25th as our big "official" meet-up day internationally. More info on specific city meet-ups later this week.
Serious Eats Day 2012--What day will it be this year?
Hey everyone! Sorry we didn't get this organized sooner this year! We're polling you all for the best dates to host meet-ups for Serious Eats 2012.
What day should SE Day 2012 be? Tell us what works best for your calendar! We'll make an official decision this week and let y'all know.
The Food Lab Lite: Butter Beans with Kale and Eggs
@dmcavanagh: Really? We usually put the recipe at the top of the post (the recipe card icon) and a link at the bottom. Let us know if you have trouble finding the links.
Orange, Cardamom and Pistachio Wedding Cakes
Sorry for the confusion! Maria adapted the original recipe, which called for almonds, and subbed in pistachios. As for the rest of the powdered sugar, cardamom, and cinnamon -- yes, roll the baked cookies in all that! Recipe is now updated.
