Friendly's originial "Big Beef" cheeseburger, on toasted white bread, is long gone from its menu but still available by request. I still think it is one of the best burgers out there.

Keen's is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The steaks and assortment of scotch whiskies are world class. I've never enjoyed a burger there but will very shortly after viewing that great picture!!

CT is a good hamburger state with Louis' Lunch where the burgers are very, very good on buttered white toast, Ted's and other steamed cheeseburger places in central CT which are unique to us as well as Shady Glen in Manchester with the awesome curling cheese on the burgers. I would think though that CT is a bit more famous for its hot dogs, like Hummels with the natural casing snap. Love those Iowa loose meats especially in Clinton, Iowa.

I am sorry to learn of Mr. Lassen's death. He did more to promote hamburgers than probably anyone else. His legacy will always live on at Louis' Lunch.

Town Topic is the best! Aside from the delicious hamburgers, it is a great place to stop for breakfast at 5:00 a.m. on the way over to MCI for an early flight out.

I just had an Angus Deluxe for lunch today, minus the mayo. I can honestly say it was a delicious, filling hamburger. With a small side of fries and an iced coffee I had a wonderful lunch.

I like Burger Heaven a lot and will continue to enjoy my burgers there as I have for years!

I enjoy ketchup, mustard and pickle on a burger. That is the reason I won't go anywhere near Louie's Lunch in New Haven as the owner, Lassen, has such a holier than thou attitude about no ketchup. His burgers are good, but screw him with that attitutude.
