Cook the Book: 'Street Food of India'

My *dream* is to go to India and eat.

My own personal best street food would actually have to be this insane mish-mash kebab sandwich from the last time I was in NYC. It was by the UN and was one of those sandwiches where if you ask for everything they put EVERYTHING on it. Damned yummy though!

What Foods Are Banned from Your Office?

Food smells are really not comparable to perfume smells. While some food smells are annoying, unless you are allergic to that food you aren't gong to have any stronger reaction than annoyance. If you sit down in my office drenched in perfume, aftershave, or stanky deodorant I am going to have an asthma attack in 2 minutes and need ferry to hospital. But I do understand, I have chosen cold food over microwaving something when the microwave smells strongly.

I still remember the first Hefeveizen I ever drank at a small cafe in Austria when I was 18. It was the best glass of beer I have ever had.

Dear AHT: Should I Make Burgers with My Elk Meat?

I live in Montana and am surrounded by elk hunters. I'm not complaining, who else is gonna give me free, free range practically organic meat?!
**Def mix in some other fat. I have only done beef but bacon would be awesome.
**DON'T overcook the burger!!! You are going for medium rare at the most! Overcooking will dry out and just make it bad. Med rare elk burger is super yummy.

Holiday Giveaway: Zingerman's Praise the Lard Gift Box

Fondest would have to be the time we spent all too much money (that we didn't really have) on a bunch of Jambon Serrano while on vacation and our 5 year old niece raided the fridge and ate it all. I remind her of this every time she refuses to try a new food.
