Brooklyn Water Bagels in Delray Beach, Florida
Mmmm! I've been devouring Jewish deli egg bagels from Chicago the last few days. No good bagels where I live. I don't know about Brooklyn bagels, but Chicago bagels are awesome!! Especially when they are bought in large quantities and brought to another state.
Omitting Soda Pop
I quit soda for 2 years beginning when I wrestled, drinking only water and Crystal Light. That didn't last too long. I still enjoy soda. I will generally only drink one can a day.
I was allowed soda as a kid but never caffeine. Now I only drink it for caffeine, if I don't have sweet iced tea around.
Meijer, a regional supermarket, carries an inexpensive but fairly good tasting line of sodas.
No soda is good for you. An expensive one is no better than a cheap store brand. But eating only "good for you" things is boring. And it is beneficial to exercise if one is to eat or drink "bad" things.

My all-time favorite dish is my mom's noodle kugel. I hear there are savory kugels but this one is always sweet with egg noodles, ricotta cheese, corn flakes, and some times raisins.
Also, cornbread casserole is a delicious favorite (it may be corn pudding.... are they different?)
My mom always makes green been casserole and year after year, nobody touches it. What a bland dish.....
