I'm going to keep it in Queens - Lamb Noodle Soup in Golden Mall, Biang, Cana for Korean, and Shanghai 33 for soup dumplings and lion's head..
Cana is easily my favorite - the food is terrific and you are treated as though you are visiting in someone's home.
A little onion, salt and pepper, starchy potato (squeezed dry) - all helpful. BUT the most important is to fry them in chicken fat if possible!!

Deboned chicken - once to stuff it Italian style with Parmesean, herbs, sausage and once to stuff it Chinese style with rice, mushrooms, ginger, and - of course - sausage.

hmmm very difficult... jackson hgts is terrific, flushing is remarkable but...
katz's, russ and daughters, kosar, donut plant, lab del gelato, dumplings, hand-pulled noodles - has to be LES!!
I've really enjoyed the falafel at Taim, but my favorite by far is Ali's at Kabab Cafe - the texture and intensity of flavor put his falafel in another league.
I'm always ready for a PL porterhouse... with bacon on the side.
I'm with Mlotek -How could you possibly NOT include il laboratorio del gelato??! The flavors are true, the texture is perfect, and there is no overload of sugar. And they make some sensational sorbets (orange, mango, pineapple, nectarine, cranberry, etc.).
Currently - Locanda Verde sheep's milk ricotta, truffled honey, and orange toast!
