Ummm, pregnant women shouldn't eat soft serve I thought because of possible listeria contamination?

Al Roker and BBQ. Because some of the food shows he's done looks mighty tasty and I think he'd be pretty funny. And BBQ because it's been so long since I've had any that was any good and it's getting to be that time for some good stuff.

What should I make from Bittman's "How to cook everything..."?

I made his Basic Roast Leg of Lamb (pg 479) last night and it turned out wonderfully. It was my first time doing a leg of lamb (I've only ever bought a boneless one and cut it into chunks for making Rogan Josh or Vindaloo).

There is also a very long (if I remember correctly) message on the Cooking Light Community Boards regarding this book.

And they'll verify pregnancy how? Basically any woman of childbearing age could go in and get one, right? Um, not that I'd ever lie to get ice cream or anything. Uh.

I would have to say Oprah. I admire her so much for all that she does for other people. I would like to have a salad with a creme brulee dessert.

I'd love to eat with Oprah! She would appreciate some good southern cooking. I'd cook my famous crock pot maccaroni & cheese, collard greens, and smothered chicken over rice. Yum!!!

I would like to dine with Ellen. We would try something from Bosco's Chicken and Waffles, because that would be a hoot!

No contest...I would want to sit down to an afternoon lunch in some open air restaurant and discuss where Oprah sees this country heading. As we would munch on a delicious Chicken Ceasar Salad with fresh shreded Parmesan Cheese I could probe her thoughts and reasoning in supporting Barack Obama as a presidential candidate and if she has had any second thoughts about that decision since the campaign has turned so ugly with all the media spin. And ask her too...what does she think of the way news media and paparazzi conduct their business in reporting the lives of high profile individuals like herself.
