Can you help me pick two: European needs help!

Oh! I just heart that the rest of the group prefers a restaurant nreaby our hotel, which is in the (touristy, I know) theathre district.

Any suggestions for an affordable dinner with 7 people (not michelin star, but decent and friendly/lively atmophere): italian and more 'american'?

Thank you so much all!

Thanks everyone. I have to say that all the steakhouses mentioned and restaurants sorella, hearth, cookshop, perry st and little owl are really too expensive for the 7 of us.
I'm really looking for something less expensive, it doesn't have to be michelin-star quality, but decent food and especially a nice lively/friendly atmosphere for 7 family members...

Love the slogan of 6th street kitchen! But there's so much pork/duck on the menu and I know some family members are really not into that...

Thanks for all the suggestions...difficult choice to make;)

Instead of picking one, I now have way more options;)

I especially like Graffiti, Nothern Spy and Aroma. Could you tell me more?

And maybe it'' because english isn't my main language, but what exactly do you guys mean with 'shitshows'???

I will remember that for sure;)

Thank you so much! I really like them all to be honest:)

But Rayuela and Tao are just a bit too expensive for the 7 of us (will remember them for next time!), I think especially Macondo looks great.

Thanks. I also thought Momofuku was great, but unfortunately not for everyone in my group...

I would like to eat true NY-food. but am open to other cuisines as well. Arturo's and Mary's both look really nice, thanks for these suggestions!

That looks really good, just a restaurant I like! But to be honest, some of my family members are not really into trying 'new dishes' and I'm afraid they think it will be too 'strange'. I really save this though, for next time!

I got some great suggestions for my two days in NYC on this forum (European family, end of november), but now I have to make a choice and I hope you can help me pick the best one (a nice restaurant with good food, affordable and a great atmosphere).

For night 1 I wanna go Italian:
- Otto
- Lupa
- La Carbonara

And for night two something more international:
-Jane
-Smith
-Schillers
-Redhead

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello,
This November I will go to NYC with 7 family members (we're all from Europe). Because of the bigger group, I'm looking for restaurants that are OK with that and are affordable. But I would love to visit something else than the standard tourist places.
I already got some suggestions for nice Italian places (Otto, Inoteca) which would be in our budget and also seem nice.

But I would love to hear more suggestions for other places with different cuisines. Where do we HAVE to go?

Thanks!
