I personally love my Columbia, SC tap water - that's all (water) I drink but I do hope everyone keeps drinking Auqafina bottled water - because that my dear friends is Columbia tap water!!!

Gas vs. Charcoal Grilling: Where Do You Stand?

I cook on a propane powered custom grill and many people taste that i get a heck of a lot of flavor. i've been to many cook outs and contests w/ the hardcore charcoal experts w/ their cans of bud light, to each his or her own, i just wonder how many competitions the people w/ the strongest opinions have won?

Tap Water Is All the Rage

I used to live in the city and drank distilled water all the time. The chlorine and flouride in the municipal water system made me very sick. I constantly had rashes and intestinal issues. Then came the whole house filter to remove chlorine and junk. AHHH. Nothing like taking a shower and not having to pour room temperature distalled water over you to rinse off the chlorine. Nothing like a safe shower.

If I lived in the city? I would get another filter system.

Now? Thank God, I have my own well. Delightful!

Tap Water Is All the Rage

I come from Indonesia, where drinking bottled water is a necessity. The water we get is not drinkable, and it has to be boiled first to be able to drink from it. Even then if you can afford it it's better to buy. I dont get why people who have the luxury of being able to drink straight from the tap and dont have to worry about the hygiene of the water, would still buy bottled water when it's so clear that you're being charged just for the fancy packaging. I mean could you really taste the difference between French or Swiss or wherever the water supposedly came from, if it's not written in the label?

Our tap water tastes and smells of chlorine most of the time, so we installed a filter on the kitchen tap which produces a 'tastier tap water". I drink bottled water at work because my boss supplies it (again, the tap water tastes of chlorine). I keep bottled water on hand for travel, etc. We take the empty bottles to the recycling center nearby. I do think everyone should try to recycle the billions of bottles we use.

Charcoal Rules - while it takes awhile to get the fire going - the result is far superior than gas.

I do like the ease of gas but hey that is what kitchen stoves are for.

I have a black Weber and would never dream of using a gas grill.
