A Jersey girl at heart, now living in the South, quality supermarkets are far and few between. (Sorry Krogers!) While, weekly shopping is done at the local Publix, where free coffee and courtesy "empty your cart" service is always a treat, if you live in the Atlanta metro, as I do, the ultimate supermarket is by far Harry's Farmers Market. Now owned by Whole Foods, the displays alone make you salivate. You cant beat the organic selection and prepared tasty treats. Always a great shopping experience.

what kind of knives do you have and how do you sharpen them ?

i buy all my cutlery at metrokitchen.com. I'm a huge fan of Wusthof Ikon, the santoku knife is amazingly sharp and I use my Global chef's knife daily. This Web site does a good job describing the product features!

Pepper-corn Turkey Salad for my husband, cold turkey sandwich with leftover sausage stuffing for me. This is the greatest holiday for me, the working mom, because cooking one Thanksgiving meal means many more days of delicious food (thanks to leftovers) without having to cook!

I love Henry's market in San Diego. It's close to my house, they have great deals on local fruits and veggies, and they have $3 bottles of wine. Awesome.

I usually shop at the new Super Walmart purely because they just opened a store a mile from where I work. My favorite supermarket is Trader Joe's, but I don't go but a few times a year since 45 minutes is too long to drive to get up there. I have a feeling that I would like Whole Foods a lot too if I ever go to one, but the nearest one of those is at least an hour away.

Vons is my favorite store. They usually have the things I need on sale and they still double coupons. The fruits and vegetables are high quality which you can't get in the discount stores. The meat is fresh and there is a nice assortment.

We recently moved to West Virginia, which has stunning natural beauty and the nicest people on the planet...but the grocery stores here are terrible. Locally, my only choice is an IGA. My favorite all-time grocery store was Wegman's, which I used to be able to visit when we lived in Virginia.

Here in Texas, I love HEB. They have a great wine, health food, bakery, deli and sushi section. I can get almost anything there and the people are awesome!

I love Lunds/Byerlys, a local store. Great products that you can't find elsewhere. Plus, the stores are always very clean.
