Do you have a food craving that you wish you didn't have?

Peanut butter. I know it's not necessarily the least nutritious thing to crave, but why does it have to be so calorie dense for such a small amount!

Are you in the Clean Plate Club?

No, I only eat until I am full. I put a small portion on my plate, and if I want more I know I can always go back for seconds, even though I never do! I eat very slowly, take small bites, and really savor my food. I hate feeling stuffed, so I would never push myself to finish food just because it is already on my plate.

What dessert for Christmas feast?

I'm making a yule log! They are a bit of work, but they are impressive looking and delicious! :) There are a million different combinations that you could make as well.

Where Do You Stand?

Peanut Butter: Creamy
Pizza: NY
RIbs: Wet
Drinks: Coffee
Mac and Cheese: Stovetop

Cook the Book: 'Baked Explorations'

Tartine in San Francisco! So many things I wish I could try still!

Cook the Book: 'The Gourmet Cookie Book'

martha stewart buttery pecan rounds!

Cook the Book: 'Chewy Gooey Crispy Crunchy Melt-in-Your-Mouth Cookies'

Lebkuchen and snickerdoodles!

Do you "fast" before Thanksgiving?

Nope. I eat normally, perhaps a bit lighter for dinner the night before. I agree with Dcarl1, though...the point isn't to starve, and then gorge yourself silly.

Cook the Book: 'The Sweet Potato Lover's Cookbook'

I love to simply roast them in wedges and then dip then in ketchup just like french fries!

Cook the Book: Barefoot Contessa, 'How Easy Is That?'

Marinated grilled flank steak, garlic roasted new potatoes, and sauteed spinach.

OIAJ: Oatmeal in a (Peanut Butter) Jar

I have done this before, and it is delicious, but I don't go through peanut butter jars quick enough to eat OIAJ on a regular basis. I usually just add peanut butter into my oatmeal, it doesn't have to be in a jar ;)
Peanut butter is one of my favorite foods, so I can basically eat it on anything!

Yule Log help please!

I need some advice on the yule log that I am making this year.
So there are a few components I know for sure that I am going to make which are :

1.almond genoise
2. chocolate hazelnut filling(nutella folded into fresh whipped cream)

Now, these are a few things/options that I am trying to decide on/between.

1. adding some orange zest to the almond genoise
2. plain toasted chopped hazelnuts, or chopped hazelnut praline that would go on top of the filling
3. Frosting the log with either chocolate or nutella ganache, or a chocolate or nutella swiss meringue buttercream
4. If I was to do one of the ganaches, should I make it a whipped ganache, or just "normal"

If anyone could give me some advice that would be awesome. I have way too many thoughts and ideas running through my head that I really need to narrow down, so I really need some advice on what route to take.

Thanks! It's much appreciated! :)

Sister Schubert frozen rolls

I've heard a ton of great things about the frozen Sister Schubert brand rolls, and upon looking at the website there seems to be quite a few types.

I was wondering which kind is better, and has the most claim to fame... the Parker House style rolls, or the Dinner yeast rolls?
Thanks!
