The FatKreme: Does It Predate the Luther Burger?

I hate to admit this, but I first saw this burger on some kind of Paula Dean special where she was cooking for her husband, and it was several years ago.

The sauce is better, I agree. The crust/dough is still the same, like he says gummy but they drizzle that flavor "stuff" around it. I could do without it. I have long since abandoned getting good mozzarella on anything but top notch pizzas (read: rarely)

Dinner Tonight: Chipped Beef Gravy

We put this on our brunch menu in the mid 90s, pretty much close recipe except we had caramelized onions and some buttermilk in ours, and like someone managed earlier, we put ours on house baked biscuits.
Served it with a root veggie gratin.
Very nice brunch with a crisp white wine or an IPA.

Taste Test: Baked vs. Fried Buffalo Wings

Good call everyone with the Frank's red hot sauce it is hands down the best for Buffalo wings.

Taste Test: Baked vs. Fried Buffalo Wings

@Raiders757 - Can't disagree with you there about rubbery wings, but people shouldn't think or kid themselves that in this case a baked buffalo wing will save you much in the fat intake.

Taste Test: Baked vs. Fried Buffalo Wings

PS: Baking vs. frying - if you fry right the savings are nill especially when you step back and realize you are dipping the wing in butter.
It is the culinary equivalent of getting a diet coke with your Wendy's Baconator® Triple and biggie fries. (2080 calories vs. 1880 calories)

Taste Test: Baked vs. Fried Buffalo Wings

I do a variant of #3. I actually marinate the wings in hot sauce overnight. Then cook them up, sometimes lightly coated with flour, other times not. Very good either way. I think this will achieve what you are looking for, because the hot sauce itself has all the necessary components for a good marinade without the butter.

Side note, I do the same with catfish nuggets. Marinate in hot sauce, bread and fry. However, most of the time I do not put "buffalo" style wing sauce on them (the butter/hot sauce mix)

Cook the Book: Maryland Crab Soup

That is right, it is a female with eggs. Also, having lived in Maryland in a very outdoor oriented family (crabbing, claming, fishing every summer, especially those great crabbing trips to the Wye river, but I digress) and chef, we never added bacon to the soup, and I would say while I am a HUGE fan of bacon, it just isn't an authentic ingredient.

Gerrit's Satellite Wafers: Cute Packaging, But Tastes Disgusting

I remember them too, and you are all right, they taste awful. My grandpop used to buy them for me from the corner candy store, Ann's, in Baltimore. We called them UFOs.
