Favorite frozen entrees?

I try to always have a Tombstone Extra Cheese pizza in the freezer. Perfect for those nights when you just don't want to think about what to fix for dinner, let alone figure out where to go for take-out.

What is your favorite ice cream novelty?

When I was a kid, mom always gave us orange push-ups. Nowadays, I love fudge bars. My husband is obsessed with Dip-n-Dots.

Cook the Book: Eugenia Bone's 'Well-Preserved'

New Orleans, when to go, what to eat

New Orleans is such a fantastic town for eating. Everyone who has visited has their favorite spot. Make sure you leave time to find your own hole in the wall place with the best whatever it is that you had there. I was there for a couple of days and we really ate well. The shrimp anywhere we went, any way it was fixed was fantastic. Not frozen even for a second and everyone seems to know how to cook it properly. I agree that the Pimm's Cup is very, very refreshing. Our first morning there, the tour guide dropped us off in the French Quarter at 10:00 a.m where we promptly got Bloody Mary's to go at the nearest restarant and sipped them while enjoying Jackson Square. Have a great time!

Have you ever been snowed in and what did you eat?

When I was a kid, we were snowed in by a huge blizzard. No electricity for 24 hours or so. I remember mom made creamed chipped beef over sterno. No toaster for toast so she served it over bread. No offense to poor mom, but I think that might have been the last time I had creamed chipped beef over anything . . . .

New Orleans - Don't Know Where To Start!

The problem with asking people where to eat in New Orleans is that you get so many different recommendations. I think it is because everyone has had such good meals there, no matter where they went. I, personally, am still obsessing about the lunch I had at Napoleon House in the French Quarter. Really fantastic shrimp remoulade on an perfect avacado half.

Do Hot Liquids Ease Symptoms of a Cold or Flu?

For me, I love hot and sour soup -- tons of vinegar and garlic and red pepper to really relieve congestion. Also, besides the teas with honey, I also drink Cup O Noodle soup. It is very salty but the salt is good for soothing sore throats and chasing away any lingering bacteria that are waiting to strike after the viruses take their toll.
