A South Orange resident from 1951 to 1967, I can confirm the magic of the Sloppy Joe. The old store front displayed a signed photo of Jerome Heinz (you know, Heinz) with a note saying simply: "mmm... it was GOOD!"
Noe of the imitations even come close to the perfection that THD is famous for.
