Mile End: Great Dinner Menu, But Skip the Smoked Meat

I went out to mile's end last week. The smoked meat was great. I loved the brisket sandwich. Also had the roast beef on weck which just knocked me out. And the poutine w/out meat which was killer. I've been thinking about going again despite the line and the wait. I think the only other time I loved a sandwich that Ed didn't like was Manganero's Hero Boy Veal Parm. I still stand by that one too!

The Best Oatmeal in New York

The Brulee at Norma's is outrageously good. But if you finish the bowl, you're pretty much done eating for the day. Or staying awake. It's basically pre-hibernation breakfast.

Question of the Day: What food can't you live without?

Pizza. Can't go a week without it. Not even really three days without it.

Where would you be sure not to miss if you were going to London and Paris for a few days each. Not asking for the most formal or fanciest (not that they can't be), just the best places for outstanding meals. Thanks in advance.

Not the restaurant, the coffee. Where can I find good cafecito in Manhattan? Strong, sweet Cuban espresso. Anywhere on Upper West or Upper East?
