Memorial Day Grilling Giveaway: Win This Delicious Cap of Ribeye

I don't have a grill anymore (or outdoor space for that matter), but when I did I enjoyed grilling steak

From The Mailbag: Thanks Miss Ellie, Love Hambone

Hambone doesn't stand a chance against Yuba. Boston's are known for their tugging ability.

Chickpea, Potato, and Spinach Jalfrezi with Cilantro Chutney

This recipe was awesome. I ate it for dinner last night, lunch and dinner today and I still want to eat more. If leftovers get me this excited, it means that dish was fantastic.

Philadelphia: Pan-Fried Juicy Pork Buns at Dim Sum Garden

I was there about a month ago and I agree that the pan fried dumplings were a huge disappointment. The traditional ones are the way to go.

@Ryan I'll have to try the soup there. I haven't found much else there that I really like except the xlb.

5 Ways to Organize Your Spice Rack

I have the larger spice stack which holds 29 full size bottles and it works really well.... but I have a lot more spices than that so I also have spice drawer which is a bit of a dumping ground for various little baggies of spices

@ Marshmallow - have you tried using a glass pie plate? That is supposed to help with the bottom browning. At least that is what I use and it has never been an issue.

I went on a tour of the Vienna Beef factory back when I lived in Chicago (3 years ago). It was pretty cool and just a short stroll from where I lived in Bucktown

Who else hates how holidays take over food websites/magazines?

It seems that every year the same old articles are trotted out. How to make scary looking food... best way to cook a turkey... cranberry sauce...

I just don't care and I have a feeling that I am not the only one. I would much rather read interesting articles on subjects that have not been beaten to death, buried, exhumed and then beaten again.

The worst part is that Thanksgiving is still over two weeks away and I am already sick of it. I have just recovered from (not) reading all the articles about how to make food that looks scary from Halloween.

Of course I know that I don't have to read these articles (and I generally don't), but every article that written about stuffing is one that is not written about something else. I want to read about something else.

Who is with me?
