Once I tried combining my two favorite foods - pork and the perfect marriage of peanut butter and chocolate. I ended up making a coffee rub for some pork tenderloin, cutting them into medallions and then serving a thai peanut sauce on one side and a chocolatey mole on the other side.

Poll: Do You Order Sushi 'Omakase'?

Now, if I am just getting a cheap sushi fix then of course I order a la cart. But more and more I try to get the best sushi experience. Of course this mainly happens when I visit a coastal city. I find the closest thing that particular has to a true sushi master and then I roll omakase style. Once you do it this way, it's hard to ever go back to cheap sushi experiences. I had an amazing time at Shiro's in Seattle - it was almost religious.

Taco Bell's Cantina Tacos: Better Than The Original?

I tried them last weekend and they were INEDIBLE. This was mostly the fault of the terrible taste and texture of the tortillas. I had to muscle through one taco. My friend ate the second one. Neither of us wanted the third one and it was thrown away. I am no food snob and while a lot of fast food is not great, there are few and far between items that I deem inedible. This is one of them. So as a person who both will eat fast food without complaining about authenticity and a person that loves authentic foods, this culinary abomination is neither.

Cook the Book: 'Farm to Fork'

Got my hands on a micro tomato plant when a family friend who runs a greenhouse happened to have one left when we went garden shopping. The tomatoes are the size of blueberries and are so sweet that you can't help but pick a couple off every time you walk by it and pop them into your mouth. SOOOOO good.

Recap: Top Chef DC, Episode 1

All the tattoo and dreadlock hate is pretty lame. It's about the food, folks. If you have hangups about stuff like that then you don't know very many young chefs.

DVD Giveaway: Food, Inc.

I'm making an honest effort to stop eating prepacked processed foods, especially things with corn/fructose/sucrose in the ingredients as well as fast food spots. I've been trying to do more shopping from farmers markets and in general trying to eat "real food" as opposed to food-like substances. On top of that, I try and be as organic and local as I can, but it is a step by step process.

Cook the Book: 'Zingerman's Guide to Better Bacon'

It's the perfect food. Salty. Sweet. Smokey. Fatty. Crunchy. Complex flavors. Add it to almost any dish and it takes that dish to a new level.

Cook the Book: 'Canal House Cooking, Vol. 1'

For me it's all about simplicity in the summer and just letting the quality of the backyard grown tomatoes shine. A little Balsamic. A little Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Kosher Salt. Feta if I'm feeling frisky. Yesterday I sliced up some tomatoes and cucumbers from the backyard and topped them off with a Feta Vinaigrette I made with some feta, red wine vinegar and olive oil.

V-Day Giveaway: Praise the Lard Box from Zingerman's

Not a day goes by when I don't dream of you
Oh! there has never been a love quite as true
Bringing me joy in so many ways
Leaving me swimming in a blissful daze
Even now my soul dances as I sing your praise

People perhaps think my adoration's a phase
I disagree, my heart's will is real,
Greeting you always with a euphoric squeal!
