Fortunately, I live in the South and have access to fabulous roadside produce. Unfortunately, the best grocery for miles is Publix.

I'll take nice, fresh lemon juice over bbq sauce any day of the week. Especially in summer and especially with rosemary.

New Orleans-style BBQ shrimp, not b/c it's terribly difficult but because out-of-towners usually haven't had it.

I always keep diced onions (but not garlic--there's just no comparison w/fresh) in the refrigerator.

Wow. A lot of Cadbury egg fans here, but I'm not one. I'll take a nice deviled egg any day.

Fried chicken and biscuits, but only if it's made by someone's very southern grandma. (unfortunately, I don't have one of my own) Dessert's harder, but it would have to involve homemade ice cream in some way.

I love Henry's market in San Diego. It's close to my house, they have great deals on local fruits and veggies, and they have $3 bottles of wine. Awesome.

I usually shop at the new Super Walmart purely because they just opened a store a mile from where I work. My favorite supermarket is Trader Joe's, but I don't go but a few times a year since 45 minutes is too long to drive to get up there. I have a feeling that I would like Whole Foods a lot too if I ever go to one, but the nearest one of those is at least an hour away.

Vons is my favorite store. They usually have the things I need on sale and they still double coupons. The fruits and vegetables are high quality which you can't get in the discount stores. The meat is fresh and there is a nice assortment.

We recently moved to West Virginia, which has stunning natural beauty and the nicest people on the planet...but the grocery stores here are terrible. Locally, my only choice is an IGA. My favorite all-time grocery store was Wegman's, which I used to be able to visit when we lived in Virginia.

Here in Texas, I love HEB. They have a great wine, health food, bakery, deli and sushi section. I can get almost anything there and the people are awesome!

I love Lunds/Byerlys, a local store. Great products that you can't find elsewhere. Plus, the stores are always very clean.
