Agreed, CheifHDB. Any list that doesn't include JG's burger just feels wrong.

i've had that burger at Donovan's on the day of the super bowl when that place had no wait. Place wasn't even close to packed. The patty was requested at medium rare and it came medium well. Not overly beefy or juicy, and no outter crust. I'm sure it tastes good when you're downing beers, but that burger is overrated or it's inconsistently cooked.

I think the burgers at David Copperfields on York Ave needs a shout out too. Maybe not top ten, but still high up on the list of delicious NYC burgers.

Only one Brooklyn burger mention??? Blasphemy! I direct you to Bonnie's Grill (where the burgers are coated with a mix of spices before cooking) and Dumont (where you get pickled onions to dress your burger, on top of a super high-quality bun) for delicious Brooklyn burgers. Is this thread about the best hamburgers, or about the musings of Manhattan-centric faux hipsters? Top of the heap has to be the burger at Donovan's in Woodside with a shout out to the $20 burger at 21 Club and of course the burger at Peter Luger ( but why aren't you having steak at PL?)

Hrmm maybe, or it might be that 1) I caught Stand and BLT on a bad day and 2) at BRGR (only) I tend to get that bacon bleu cheese burger that is covering the beef too much. BRGR is nearby so I have gone there a lot compared to only once at the others. Also, that blueberry pomegranite shake is mad good and makes the whole experience better.
