The Crab Pot: Crustacean Addiction

Ah, the best condiment to go with steamed blue crabs is a glutinous rice vinegar/sugar/chopped ginger mix. It's what we always had at our house, and is fantastically delicious. My favorite is mixing some of the sauce with the crab juice and roe in the top part of the shell, then drinking it.

Also, the acidity of the vinegar helps when you're on your dozenth crab.

I'm finding it difficult to not salivate all over my lab bench thinking about crabs.

When I was three or so, my parents' graduate school classmates lived a minute or so walk away. We'd often get together, since they had a kid about my age as well. We're Chinese, they were Indian, and we'd often trade food. The first thing I can remember eating (and I'm salivating with the memory) is a vegetable samosa. Not coincidentally, it is the one thing I always order whenever I have a chance to.

Potbelly Sandwich Works: Big Sandwiches for a Small Price

By far, the best Potbelly sandwich is a meatball with hot peppers, mushrooms, lettuce and tomato. I've tried everything on and off their menu (ask about the secret sandwiches) and it's the one I always come back to. I'm mildly concerned about moving away, because what will I eat when I need a hot sandwich fix?
