Reality Check: What's the New Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust Pan Pizza Like? We Try It

You actually made this look delicious! Props to you for that :)

Pizza Hut Releases New Stuffed-Crust Pan Pizza

So this is different from the cheese that was INSIDE the crust, which was called stuffed crust pizza? Remember the whole "eat the crust first" commercial?

They moved the ring of cheese a little bit closer to the center and then sent out a press release to say that this is new.

Recommendations in Koreatown and Curry Hill?

@engmcmuffin - Baden Baden is still there! I wonder what happened? Their chicken is yummmmy!

@candybean - Kun Jip in Ktown has the best food, in my opinion. There is always a line! Try Won Jo for Kalbi :)

When Is It Socially Acceptable to Share Food?

I am a big fan of sharing, and even if it's not family style, we always end up sampling each other's dishes. I guess it's natural among my group of friends.

For those of you who are in the anti-sharing camp, what do you say if someone asks for a sample of your food?

Great post! Soon dooboo is the perfect bubbling bowl of spicy umami goodness! I want to buy a Korean clay pot, but do I need to season it like a wok or cast iron skillet? and is there any proper way to clean it? oh and one more thing, what's your favorite stock to use for soon dooboo because i made it one time with anchovy broth and it was too bland.

Golden Vietnam Bakery: Queens's First Bánh Mì Specialist

Had this last night. It was easy to find as it was the first or second stall when you walk in. I had the #1 to go. The sandwich was in a word, disappointing. There was a bit too much of the pickled veggies and the meat wasn't as flavorful as I would have liked. I used to live in Sunset Park around the corner from Ba Xuyen so their sandwiches are the high watermark by which I judge every other banh mi. Though serviceable I'm probably not going to be a regular at Golden Vietnam. :(

Raising the Bar: Wings Gone Rogue at Mad for Chicken

I'm addicted to Mad for Chicken!! I prefer the soy to garlic (a tad too spicy). We ordered the beer tower for kicks.

@Big B - It's kind of funny how you can see Kyochon from the window of MFC. Can't wait till it opens.

@cherry patter - Oh no, you never want to order a salad at a Korean place. It's not what they specialize in. As for it being bad, I wonder if you went during the transition period. I'd say try it again, and go later in the day. I notice the wings are better then.

i know i keep reading about great these wings are but we must have hit a bad night. we were there about a month ago, and our wings only took maybe 10 minutes to come out and they were so lackluster! very depressing. we had also gotten a salad that was terrible. given all the raves, i'm tempted to try the wings again but if there is no wait i think we'll need to leave.

OK went looking for the place today took me a little while. To my surprise they were speaking FooChownese, more to my surprise the Banh Mi was pretty darn good. Way better than all the ones from the nearby Vietnamese restaurants. Bread was just toasted enough (don't like it when it is too hard) The meats were tasty and well layered with the pickled stuff. Great pick, I will definitely go back there. The PHO looked good too. Now I don't have to ask friends from Brooklyn to bring Banh Mi to me from 8th Avenue

@Ambitious - Haven't been to UFC, only because it's a bit of a trek for me and I don't believe they have alcohol. I heard you can take beer there. Maybe I'll do that one day. I need beer with my wings!

@wonders - The best place is of course in Korea, but here, there's not one that really stands out for me. Baden-Baden and 3rd Floor both have good versions, but I never go to either just for ddukboki. I'll let you know if I ever come across anything extraordinary.

I luvvv ddukbokki but I haven't found a place that's really really good, is there a place like and goto that makes it good? I liked that location of mad for chicken/bon chon, but the service was always iffy. I think it's cause we didn't drink.

You are absolutely right, there was no GOOD BANH MI place in Queens, how lucky am I that my office is right in Flushing. I will be having a #1 for lunch tomorrow. Come to think of it the there aren't many good ones in Chinatown anymore either.

Oh no, I am salivating already

Designruby: Yes, use your enameled cast iron. Whenever I am serving guests and I run out of tofu pots, I bust out my little Descowares and they do the trick. I wouldn't use a raw cast iron pot, though - that spicy broth would wear down your patina.

NWcajun, you're extremely welcome. I am jealous of your being in Oregon. Forget ribeye! You could put geoduck and dungeness into your soondubu! I have always wanted to catch dungeness and dig for my own geoduck.

can this be made without a claypot? I want to make it for me and my husband, can I do it in a cast iron pot or a enamel coated cast iron dutch oven/pot? I have everything to make this at home already, just need to figure out the cooking part...

Thanks! This recipe looks yummy!

Sandwich Alley: New York's West Village Block of Sandwich Deliciousness

@wburg913: Didn't forget it! (In fact, we stopped by Grey Dog during our visit.) But we kept incredibly strict parameters on Sandwich Alley. Precisely one block, all with storefronts ON Bleecker (in the case of Bleecker Street Pizza, it's on the corner on the in-bounds side of the street). Once you wander outside the boundaries, there's just too much to include.

how could you forget Grey Dog? It's less than half a block off of Bleecker and has my favorite sandwiches in NYC.
