The other day I was walking the Highline. I had just gotten off, starving, and got a carnitas gordita at a food truck with this short older Mexican lady.
Turns out gorditas aren't those crappy things you get at Taco Bell. They're a cornmeal shell with hot fatty pork bursting out. Cilantro, onions, and green sauce finish it off, with lime for balance. They're mind blowing, game changing, and I dream of finding another source for lunch.
