middle eastern turkey sandwich from bite on 14th
Another fan of the middle eastern turkey sandwich! I also really like their naked frozen mojito.

I hope you had some of Wilber's barbecue and hush puppies, too!
Hey serious Eats! What's with the lame, sexist ads?!
We don't like it either, and have already requested that it be blocked. Glad our readers aren't lame sexists, too!

Must find boiled peanuts!
I don't have any St. Louis recs, but you can order boiled peanuts online.
The Lee brothers' boiled peanuts ain't cheap, but I bet they're really good.
And it looks like NutsOnline sells canned boiled peanuts. At $5 for 3 cans, probably worth a try just for curiosity's sake.

Thanks everyone! We'll try and replicate this bug in IE6 and get it fixed next week.
Preview not working
Seems to be working for me on Windows Vista and IE8, Firefox.

@simon: All of our archives are online, no cutoff!
@LauraJ: Almost without exception, Recipes are published in the Recipes blog, so your best bet is to search using the search on the Recipes page:
http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/ You can also browse by recipe category or column from that page.
Hope that helps!

Is Chartbeat Causing User Profile Problems?
Thanks everyone for all the troubleshooting assistance! We've actually found the source of the problem (short story: a database issue) and we'll be pushing a fix tonight.
Is Taste Purely Subjective?
I've removed a slew of comments that went off the rails and into personal attacks. You all know the rules around here, if you need a reminder read them here.
Miserable ad.
OK, I've confirmed with our ad team that this ad unit should only expand *once* per user, and not repeatedly, and this is controlled via a cookie.
If your browser isn't set to accept cookies, it'll expand on every page load which we agree, is very annoying and not intended.
If you're using Firefox, here's info. on how to check your cookie settings.
Here's the same info for IE8, and Google Chrome.
What's Your Favorite Cupcake In New York?
I love Kumquat Cupcakery's tiny cupcakes.
Miserable ad.
We're working on troubleshooting this with our ad team now. The ads should not be continuously opening and closing as reported.
Sounds like the issue is primarily Windows/Firefox -- for those Windows/Firefox users seeing this behavior, what version of Windows and Firefox are you running?
Miserable ad.
Which unit are you seeing expand persistently -- the one at the top of the page? Also helps to know what operating system you're on (Mac or Windows?), and web browser. Thanks!
Overrated Liquors that Unsuspecting Masses Consider Quality
This thread is no longer productive, I'm closing comments.
Is Chartbeat Causing User Profile Problems?
Thanks for providing the example! That one's not loading for me either. Any others that you can think of?
Is Chartbeat Causing User Profile Problems?
How frequently do you encounter this issue? 25, 55, 75, 100% of the times you attempt to view a profile? I haven't experienced it yet myself, so I'm trying to get a better idea of the severity. Thanks!
'TLC BBQ Pitmasters,' Episode 2 Recap
As a charter member of the North Carolina Barbecue Society, I've been looking forward to this show. Robbie -- so glad you are covering it for SE!
I haven't seen this episode yet, but on the first episode I noticed that the competitors could bring their own meat. I was under the impression, perhaps mistaken, that this wasn't usually the case. Which is more common?
Unrelated question: Any theories on why Eastern NC-style barbecue has been overlooked in the NYC barbecue trend?
Company Dinner Korean BBQ recommendations
Yesterday the NYTimes' Sam Sifton declared Madangsui the best Korean barbecue in Manhattan. Here's the link to the review.
Overrated Liquors that Unsuspecting Masses Consider Quality
Let's get back on topic.
Overrated Liquors that Unsuspecting Masses Consider Quality
@ChefR0bert: You started the conversation by asking for opinions, and that's what you've received. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, no one's right or wrong. As dbcurrie correctly points out, taste is subjective.
And a reminder to everyone: No personal attacks.
Hot Pot
I'd love to know the answer to this question, too! :)
