Royal Feast from Pizza King in Muncie, IN. Sausage, Pepperoni, Mushrooms, Green Pepper, Onion. Delicious!
I have never lived in NYC, only visited for business and pleasure. And I will never understand folks unwillingness to go someplace that's not RIGHT by a subway stop. Not being critical, more curious. If it's not in a safe neighborhood, that I understand completely.
Pan fried - medium rare. Then I'd have to cut it in half and finish my wife's to medium well. :-(
BEST. CANDY BAR. ON. THE. PLANET.
Seriously. I can't think of anything I like more.
Also, I realize putting periods and caps for extreme effect is old. :)
Thanks for the response, Paul. I appreciate it. Even if you were able to default the search to reverse chronological order, I think that would be AWESOME.
Currently it just sucks. :) I search Philadelphia (where I live) and an article from 2008 is first. 2008! Followed by another 2008 and then a 2011.
Littauer, I do that exact thing in order to find what I want.
I'm guessing that there's just not a ton of users that search. Otherwise this might be higher up the totem pole.
Overcooked meat! Can't stand it. I don't recall having a burger past medium that I cared for one bit.
Best burger that I've had is actually a backyard burger with some of that Pat LaFrieda meat! AMAZING.
@GretchinF - I love food swapping. I'm a Philly guy, so I'll swap some of our regional favorites: Soft pretzels, whoopie pies, old bay potato chips... COULD be somewhat cost prohibitive to send you cheesesteaks, but if you're up for the cost I know places that will do it!
Leftover liege dough that I made w/ bread flour. Tried making it into small rolls... Not so much...
Love chopping some garlic. NOT!!
I'd take my FRIED pancetta from yesterday's contest entry and throw that bad boy on top. Otherwise? I've gotta go with Pep.
FRIED baby FRIED
Blasphemy @ John Lauber - Blasphemy. :)
That might be the greasiest box I've ever seen.
And I want some right now.
The best mac and cheese I've ever had was homemade. 5 cheeses, finished in the smoker. LOVED IT!
I go with cheddar or bleu cheese depending on the burger makeup. But for a thin griddled patty - American all the way.
No photo of the amazing burger? :(
I know it's not the same thing, but when I want something "pizza burrito-ish" I go the Calzone/Stromboli route. I find that I REALLY would miss the crust in this burrito. Maybe if you were able to par-bake some really thin pizza crust instead of the tortilla?
Obviously it's the Omnomnomnivore.
I have been using a brine on my chicken breasts for a while now and every time, I get great compliments. I don't brine for too long (30 minutes minimum, 90 minutes max) and I always rinse and pat dry.
I also ONLY use a two zone fire for my chicken. I like to sear on a higher heat and then move to the "cool" side with the vent (I use lump charcoal) above the chicken. Creates a nice draft of hot air that flows right over the meat. This process takes a little bit longer, but the results are well worth it.
Honestly that would be the first time I blended my own meat and made a Shake Shack knock off burger. It was amazing. (I know, I led a sheltered burger life up to that point)
I seriously love a good ribeye. Can't be beat in my book. Add in some garlic mashed potatoes and some sweet corn on the cob... Mmmmmmm
If I win these? Then I'm going all Martin's Potato Dinner Rolls, Shake Shack sauce, ooey gooey american cheese all over these bad boys!!
***I'm in Philly so shipping costs would obviously be much less. :-)
