  • Favorite foods: Tsukemono of all types, especially nukazuke. Pickles and more pickles. Roast chicken with butter, garlic, lemon, and Italian parsley. Saba shioyaki with takuanzuke and fluffy white rice. Puttanesca heavy on the anchovy. Drinks: Rye Manhattans. Nardini amaro highball with lemon. Navy-strength anything.
