We've been vacationing in Portugal for more than twenty years. Every time we begin to think of heading elsewhere, we remember the vibrant colors, the distinct scent of herbs filling the countryside and the fresh tastes which are so unique to Portugal. We begin every trip with a day or two in Lisbon, travel south to the western Algarve and return a few weeks later to soak up a few more moments in Lisbon before heading home.
