In search of: Popcorn Popper

"Someone" around here has developed a popcorn habit, and I'm wondering if there's a better way. We don't like the bagged microwave stuff as much as we love stovetop-popped popcorn, which is what I've been doing.

But I'm open to exploring other cooking methods. Microwave container, electric gadget or whirley-stirring stovetop machine are under consideration.

We don't want an air popper.
