Sticky muffin top

I baked a batch of chocolate muffins today but the surface turned sticky really quickly (as soon as they got cold). The top is shiny and sticky that some batter would stick to your finger if you poke it. It should be done as the centre is well cooked and the texture is fine- just the top of it is all sticky :( i followed this recipe: http://bakingparttime.com/one-bowl-chocolate-cake/#more-544
