Can pizza-stones be used while baking in OTG?

Hi. I have always seen people use pizza stones while they bake in those huge ovens. A 28 Lit. OTG is a small equipment. I was wondering if it is safe to use a small pizza stone or unglazed tiles in an OTG. Will it cause any damage to the OTG?
